Future Developments
- Once the IFAL-Network reaches a mass of Members globally, we aim to push for and use group buying power to negotiate and develop lower rates for IFAL Members from airlines, shipping lines, transport, warehousing, insurance and other bodies.
- Development of standard procedure for resolution of Member disputes.
- IFAL-Network intends to develop annual and possibly more frequent networking event/s – which unlike many networks IFAL Members will have no commitment to attend. Also non-attendance will not reflect against future or existing Membership. We realise in the current climate, costs for all Members need to be closely monitored. To attend global conventions can be expensive and prohibitive and therefore attendance will no be compulsory. It must be recognised however those not attending an IFAL event will miss the greater opportunity's that face-to-face meetings guarantee.
- IFAL-Network performance/credit rating system to be implemented.
- IFAL-Network Freight Payment Protection Bond (IFAL-FPPB) to be implemented. Membership of IFAL-FPPB will afford signed up Members who enrol with protection against non-payment resulting from bankruptcy or closure of other FPPB Member company's – details to be confirmed.
- Development of a uniform IFAL-Network Ocean Bill of lading for use between Members on in-house consignments (Member to Member).
- Member referral scheme to be implemented. The scheme will be made to ensure current Member introductions/referrals of new successful IFAL Members joining the network are rewarded - A Credit Scheme against following years Membership fees is currently under finalisation.
