Compliance of the following IFAL-Network Code of Ethics & Standards is obligatory by all Members to ensure the professional & efficient operation of the IFAL-Network. Non-compliance or disregard of these rules could result in cancellation and expulsion of Membership from the IFAL-Network.
- Collaboration is key to IFAL-Network success. All request between Members for information, service, rate or assistance must be promptly responded to within 24 hours. Sometimes longer may be required, but a holding message must be provided and certainly no longer the 48-72 hours must ever.
- IFAL Members must be able to offer and provide the full range of freight & transport related services as outlined. (Unless otherwise agreed at time of joining the IFAL-Network).
- IFAL-Members are to provide nett/nett rates when requested to enable the relevant quoting Member the correct details to secure the business and provide fair profit share.
- All and any payment terms must be agreed mutually between the relevant Members, prior to acceptance of the consignment/s.
- IFAL Members must ensure accounts are settled in a timely manner between Members – 30 days from invoice date being the norm (unless otherwise agreed) prior to handling consignment/s.
- The IFAL-Network will at no time charge fees or commissions on work between IFAL Members. The IFAL-Network will only charge annual Member subscription fee/s, supplements & penalties. IFAL-Network gaurantee that annual fees will remain constant wherever and so much as possible however we reserve the right to increase annual Memberships fees from time to time but never more than 4.5% in any given annual period. Notice will be given of any changes to annual fees.
- Where an IFAL Member is deemed to have defaulted on payment to a fellow Member, without fair reason or dispute for which mutual agreement cannot be reached within 45 days. Upon notification to the IFAL-Network HQ and further investigation BY IFAL HQ, a resolution will be given which must be accepted by both parties. Failure to accept the resolution could result in expulsion of one or both Members.
- Where an IFAL Member is reported by one or more Members as being delinquent in meeting its payment agreements & obligations the defaulting Member may be listed within the IFAL-Network news updates and should payment/s not be made in a timely fashion thereafter expulsion could occur.
- In the event of expulsion, due to non-compliance of the IFAL-Network Code of Ethics & Standards or for any other reason, subscription &/or Membership fees will not be refunded. Members may leave the IFAL-Network at any time if they so wish, subscription &/or Membership fees will not be refunded for any period unused within a subscription period. Annual subscription will automatically renew unless terminated providing 3 months written notice before end of existing subscription period expires.
- Members must stop using the IFAL-Network logo immediately once Membership is/has been terminated and solicit no business from other IFAL Members or contacts.
- IFAL Members must respect the nature of confidentiality involved in all client & business relationships.
- Where implemented usage of the IFAL-Network Shipment Control, Payment Control & Quality Control systems are mandatory.
- IFAL Members are subject to a provisional period of 12 months Membership to enable IFAL HQ to gauge the Member commitment and dedication to the IFAL-Network.
- The IFAL-Network cannot and will not be held responsible and does not accept any financial liability for commercial and/or financial obligations that are not met by IFAL-Network Members.
- The IFAL HQ may add to the IFAL-Network Code of Ethics & Standards at anytime.
- IFAL Members are encouraged to offer all fresh new business to fellow IFAL Members wherever possible and work towards developing growth of the IFAL-Network.
- IFAL Members must respond to all sales lead and operational requests and communications within 24 hours and certainly no longer than 48 hours.
- IFAL Members must respect all domestic and international laws, regulations & requirements.
- IFAL-Network Members cannot promote offices/locations in countries where the Member has no official IFAL-Network Membership.
- IFAL-Network Membership will be terminated/cancelled due to the following:
- IFAL HQ establishes a Member is unable to offer the services outlined when applying for Membership to the IFAL-Network.
- IFAL Member does not adhere to these Code of Ethics & Standards.
- IFAL HQ receives more than 3 complaints from other IFAL Members concerning the Member in question. Complaints can be related to Accounting, Sales & Operational matters but not excluding other items that may arise.
- IFAL HQ has the authority to terminate Membership at their discretion.
- IFAL-Network Annual Membership Fee/s currently GBP 200.00 per HQ & GBP 100.00 per additional branch/location must be paid upon receipt of Invoice and payment must be made in GBP together with bank fee of GBP 20.00.
- A fee of GBP 45.00 supplement will be due payable if the fees are paid in USD or Euro and will be invoiced for immediate payment.
- Late payment of Annual Membership will be subject to a GBP 55.00 penalty. If full payment (inclusive of any supplement/penalty) are not then received after 14 days, the Member will automatically be excluded from the IFAL-Network.
- Upon termination and/or leaving the IFAL-Network, all user ID's and Passwords will be disabled and your company details & information removed immediately.
- Certain areas of our website are restricted. We reserve the right to restrict access to these areas or indeed our whole website at our discretion.
- Governing Law – The IFAL Code of Ethics & Standards, your use of this website (www.ifal-network.net) and all other details and information are governed by the Laws of England.
